For three years, 1000 talented people came together in Brussels for 3 days with one mission: build purpose-driven innovation projects that contribute to the well-being of our planet and our people. That was Hack Belgium, the world’s first Open Innovation Festival.
WHY
We simply can’t continue doing things the same way we have been for the past few decades. Climate change, social inequalities, and the huge, uncertain impact of technology on the people are all massively overwhelming issues.
WHAT WE DID
In response to 36 critical Challenges in healthcare, mobility, food, education and other themes contributed by citizens, participants co-created hundreds of new technology-driven solutions. Guided by hundreds of volunteer experts, participants also learned core skills in innovation and entrepreneurship, collaboration, and storytelling.
RESULTS
Over three years of Hack Belgium, hundreds of teams generated thousands of excellent new ideas and worked on hundreds of projects.
